Wash and care

Your handwoven earthwhile garment is made with love and very little processing unlike mill-made fast fashion. We hope that you give it some TLC to extend its life.

Wash care

Natural dyes are made from fruits, vegetables and other plant parts and have the tendency to bleed the first couple of washes. Although we take utmost care to wash our yarns and fabrics before making the garment, we recommend that you wash them separately for the first few washes.

  • Hand wash or gentle wash with mild soap
  • Do not use harsh detergent
  • Do not bleach or scrub

Drying

Hang dry in shade, harsh light may affect natural dyed garments, especially Indigo. Iron on medium or low heat and preferably on the reverse side.

Fabrics

Sourced from weavers

We work directly with communities of weavers to make our fabrics. This is a community activity that usually envolves the entire family.
